Walmart: The Big Kid Toy Store

For real though, does anyone besides me share the love for the big time superstore giant? I didn't really appreciate its greatness until I landed in college in the quaint town of Oxford. For us Oxfordians (word?) going to Walmart is similar to that of going out on a Friday or Saturday night in the big city. Yes, it is just that SOCIAL. When going to Walmart, its a guarentee that you will see at least five friends/teammates/teachers/coaches. I have the statistics to prove it.

My love of Walmart will continue on forever...and there are a few areas that I will never stop going to. Yes, I am that girl that my roomates hate to shop with because they lose me (funny, we never have our cell phones on hand) and end up in a Walmart-wide search for my larged eyed wandering self.

Kelly's Favorite Walmart "Hot Spots":

1. The Holiday Section
Location: front of the store, guaranteed.
Yes, I am the person who owns candy dishes for every single holiday. I buy $3 candy dishes like I am a shopaholic. It may or may not be an issue. Themed dishes, decorations, candles get me every time. Who knew Christmas washcloths were so much fun?? I have a penguin with a santa hat sitting in my bathroom as we speak. He's adorable! By far...my favorite section.
2. The Fish Tanks
Location: back of the store (jerks)
Yep, I love going and peering at the fish like a 3 year old child. I still do it even today as a 21-year-old soon to be college graduate. I imagine the day that my life will once again be stable enough to get a fish. I am envious of those of you who own fish. I want them.
3. The Seasonal Candy Isle
Location: conveniently next to the freezer section..so you happen to "stumble" upon it. Oh look, a large isle full of brightly packages candies and sweets! I smell conspiracy.
We avoid this isle completely only because we may most likely buy out the store. For those of you who know me and have known me for years, you know that I am a compulsive candy eater. Candy is my crack. There is so much candy in this world that it takes up an entire isle in Walmart. I mean, come on, that's saying something!!
4. The Coffee Isle
Location: wedged between other random goods, if you don't know where it is in your Walmart you'll miss it. Sneaky little Walmart elves.
I'm the creepy girl that likes to smell the coffee flavors from the little dispensers. Completly normal, I know.
5. While on the subject...The Coffee Creamer
Location: next to the milk which I suppose is logical. Milk+Coffee+Creamer=Heaven.
Is it strange to get excited about coffee creamer? Probably but if you didn't know the holiday flavors are out. Just got some gingerbread latte today.....just saying.

Now you see my love of Walmart, it's a strange and growing obsession that I am happy to share.
Happy Hump Day!!
=)
