Every year it goes like this: Mom argues with me that we should get a fake tree, it would be more convenient and the hassle would be gone! I insist that I cannot settle with a fake tree and that we need to go get one at the Christmas tree farm.
(Dad may or may not get the hint from Mom telling him we need a Christmas tree in time for Christmas....Dad's response? "I think I like this one alot better!" Uhhhh, fail.)
The past two years have been unsuccessful: we got our trees from Walmart/some random parking lot. (Long story) so this year I was insistent in getting a real one from an actual Christmas tree farm.
After lots of reminding and insisting on my part, Rob, Dad, and I trudged to Monterey Pines to get a freshly cut down Christmas tree.
We found the perfect one right next to the path...beautiful!!
Had to pull the tree into the back of the car to get it to the front to be shaked and wrapped up for the ride home....
Good thing we had Rob to hold it so it wouldn't fall out :-P
SUCCESS!!
