It is always at this point in the summer, when the end of July is near and August is quickly approaching, that I have to force myself not to look ahead. Ahead to the school year, deadlines, exams and papers; simply STUFF to do. Live in the moment, enjoy every ounce of free time that is available. Don't take being able see my friends every day for granted. The time will come when they will be a skype call away...
Working at Culver has always been a gift to me, allowing me to slow down my days and simply enjoy the beauty and simplicity that it has to offer. So what if there is nothing to do on a Saturday night? That my idea of fun is a movie night or pulling out a dusty childhood board game. That's what it's ALL ABOUT.
So, here I am....struggling to hold onto my summertime sanity.
Digging my heels into the dirt.
I don't want it to end. At least not yet.
