Were going on a...nature walk?

Sooo my next assignment for my poetry class is to go on a nature walk, find a specific bird, and WRITE about it. Sounds pretty simple. But its not really...at least not when you add poetry into the mix. I swear this class is getting hard, and poetry is NOT my thing! Plus it's a little random just going out, hoping to catch a glimpse of a bird, I dont think that birds are even out this time of year. Isn't it too cold out?

And speaking of cold...
It's cold again outside! :( It feels even colder seeing as we had 60 degree weather this weekend then got hit by the reemergence of cold winter weather.) It's aweful. It makes my life feel a little more miserable than it has to be/should be. Come onnnn it's only Tuesday too, how is that possible??

Mom is visiting in two weeks and I cannot express how excited I am for her to come. It's been a while since I've seen her...well, just christmas break but it feels like forever. I don't know what we are going to do though, this is Oxford Mississippi. Not exactly the booming metropolis. Probably the usual stops: eat, Walmart run, socialize. Which is good enough for me! Speaking of...Dad got on TV yesterday. 5 mins of fame! So it was just the local station but I still thought it was pretty neat. Mom sent the email to me of the link so I could watch it this morning. I laughed. I just think that tv interviews are the strangest things, all up close and personal and they cut your words most of the time and just make you look stupid. When Alex used to get interviewed, she always hated the fact that things never really sound like what you intend them to. And they just make you look "dumber" than you are. Moving on.

By the way...there is a fox skull on the porch of the apartment right now. Who could have brought it home? The nature lover Ellen of course. Thanks for the gift Elle belle. I don't know whether or not to be disgusted or to let him stay. He's staying for the time being. Oh, and his name is Fandango (yes, like the movie place.) It's weird but i guess we do live in a house with things named Fuzzy Wuzzy, Wind in His Hair, and Boobie. So I guess I should have expected nothing less....
