What holds us together is much greater than what pulls us apart

Happy Weekend! Finally, it's about time that Friday, Saturday, and Sunday joined the party. It's a breath of fresh air to not have anything due the next three days. Monday, however, is a different story but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
To say today was aweful would be an understatement, but I don't want to blog about my problems. Not today.

On the upside I want to thank lilies&sparrows for turning my bad day upside down. If there is one thing that I love more than anything, it's a good cause. Today is October 1st, the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Everyone has been touched by someone in their life having cancer, sad as it is, that is a reality. You may know someone, or have a family member who has been affected by it, or someone who lost the fight to it. Remember those people and keep them in your prayers this month, and wear your pink proudly!

Today I was formally introduced to the Mocha Club. They are an organization of women take on projects all over the world, attacking problems such as clean water and poverty, to HIV and Aids. A remarkable story they have, and their newest project called "fashionABLE" really struck on my heart strings.
Mocha Club launched a program that helps women in Ethiopia make scarves and sell them for profit in America. Many of these women sell themselves for sex in order to feed their children and families. By giving them a stable job making these scarves, the woman are given a chance to change their circumstances forever.

They are ABLE to make new choices.
You are ABLE to change their lives forever and offer hope to their families.

In a world surrounded by darkness and desperation, these women have chosen to reach out to the light. God bless the women that are helping them to make this a reality, they truly are doing God's work.

Reach out to these women at livefashionable.com.

Thank you again to lilies&sparrows for giving me this information so that I can pass it on!
