When we searched for an apartment at the end of last year, it became clear enough that nothing would replace the home sweet home of our old Turnberry condo. Seeing as I don't have a car here in Oxford, that dwindles a lot of our options to look beyond the limits of the University. We chose to go to Campus Creek because it fit all the criteria that we were looking for: close to campus, close to a bunch of of our friends, spacious rooms with our own bathrooms. It works for us, so we found ourselves settling in.
Who would have known that we took the old apartment so much for granted. We have tried to clean up our living room, with no luck. It looks dark and depressing, even when we put slipcovers on the couches, candles on the tables. Help!
Things that I miss about Turberry...
the green couch (self explanatory) it's infamous with our friends
our beautiful big kitchen
the porch out front with the rocking chair (good for early morning reading and note writing)
my big comfy makeshift bed..which I could snuggle in for hours.
silver refrigerator that could hold the entire grocery store
Things that I love about my new place....
my own bathroom (Ellen, I love you but sharing a bathroom was not too good haha)
big spacious room to myself
the bus stop a few steps from my doorway, if you've read my previous posts you know about my love for riding the bus haha
a nice long walk on game days
I guess this apartment may never live up to Turberry but we sure will make the most of it! There is a lot of good stuff to love about this place, and seeing as this is my last year in college and my roommates are my best friends I would say that there is no way to go wrong! :-)
