Finally...outdoor season has begun!!

We had the first outdoor meet this past weekend at Rhodes College in Memphis. We all joke that it's alot like going back to high school...the track and the long jump pit both remind me of high school. This maybe why I always do well at this meet. For some reason the past two years the meet has been cursed with bad weather: rain, and cold temperatures are not a good combination for a track meet. Luckily, we had nothing but sunshine and blue skies and it was definitely a beautiful day.

It was a great start to the season...I PRed in the triple jump with a 36 foot jump which isn't where I need to be at but it is a good beginning. I'm excited because we are going to Tuscaloosa, Alabama next weekend for the Alabama Invitational and there will definetly be some good performances!!
